Managed Operations

We have been managing the on line position monitoring system and the clearing and settlement system for the second oldest stock exchange in India for over a decade. The systems have been developed by us, we operate them on behalf of the exchange, maintain the software and carry out the enhancements as needed.

The systems are part of the completely electronic trading facility with trading volume of 10000 to 50000 trades per day on a wide area network with about 250 concurrent traders. The on line position monitoring system monitors the position of all the traders on trade to trade basis with continuous mark to market loss computations for all unsettled positions under T+3 cycle under the worst case scenario. The settlement system runs with T+3 settlement cycle with daily rolling settlement and is integrated the depository clearing house operations for which the software has been provided by us.

The systems run on distributed heterogeneous platforms including IBM AS/400 / DB2/400 and Windows NT / SQL Server with distributed databases. The systems communicate with trading system running on fault tolerant Stratus servers, trader workstations and market surveillance and control operations desktops running Windows NT and depository clearing house operations running on Windows NT.
